Goodwell Investments, Oikocredit and Global Partnerships have invested USD 8.5mn in Good Nature Agro, a Zambian social enterprise company. With the funds, the agritech company plans to grow its client base to 50,00 farmers by 2027, deepen client engagement, develop new genetics and improve its integration of whole farm income.
Good Nature Agro currently supports approx. 30,000 smallholder farmers to grow drought-resistant, early-maturing legume seed varieties such as beans, cowpeas, soyabeans and groundnuts. The investment was part of the social enterprise company’s series B round.
Oikocredit invests $2mn in RDG Collective
RDG Collective has received a USD 2mn credit line from impact investor Oikocredit. The Zambian solar off-grid distributor will use the funding to support approx. 12,500 individuals on a low income to access electricity and mobile connections.
So far, the company has sold more than 20,000 energy devices since it was established in 2018 by Rune Dige who is also the company’s CEO.
