Transform Health Fund, a blended finance vehicle launched by FSD Africa Investments, AfricInvest, Malaria No More and Health Finance Coalition has completed its first close having raised USD 50mn.
The fund’s partners include Royal Philips, Merck & Co., Inc., DFC, USAID, International Finance Corporation, Swedfund, Netri Foundation, Anesvad Foundation, Grand Challenges Canada and MCJ Amelior Foundation.
Additional investors are expected to join the investor roster.
THF aims to bridge the critical healthcare financing gap in Africa buy targeting three areas serving low-income patients: supply chain transformation, innovative care delivery and digital innovation. It will target countries the continent but with a focus on East, Southern and Francophone West Africa.
