Touton Group has sold its palm oil plantations in Coté d’Ivoire to the country’s number one palm oil producer PALMCI. The decision is part of the international trading and processing group’s plan to refocus on its core business and strengthen its position in the cocoa industry.
For the Ivorian palm-oil producer, which is also a subsidiary of SIFCA and one of the country’s major agribusiness groups, the deal aligns with its development strategy in the oilseed industry and increases its crude palm oil production capacity to support food security in the country.
Enexus acted as adviser to Touton Group.
The company operates more than 40,000 hectares of industrial plantations and employs approx. 30,000 oil palm planters. The company is listed on the BRVM and is triple certified ISO 9001, 14001 and 45005 on its current units in Ehania, Toumanguié, Irobo, Boubo, Neka Gbapet, Iboke and Blidouba.
