Santam completes minority investment in Ctrl

Insurance company Santam has completed its purchase of a minority investment in Ctrl, a software development and financial intermediary business based in South Africa.

The app is still in its test phase and will shortly launch publicly. Once completed, it will enable users to request and accept quotes from different insurance companies, amend cover and receive advice.

The company’s current partners are Old Mutual Insure, Bryte, Brolink and now Santam. It was founded in 2017 by Pieter Erasmus, Pieter Venter and Francois Venter – three friends with a background in the financial and insurance industries.
