Sahel Capital invests in Rogathe Dairy Farm Products

The Social Enterprise Fund for Agriculture in Africa has extended a three-year term loan facility and renewable working capital line to Rogathe Dairy Farm Products for it to acquire refrigerated trucks that will strengthen its supply chain.

The dairy-processing company, which is based in Msata Tanzania, works with smallholder farmers for its fresh milk while also offering extension services that enhance productivity and profitability. Currently, the company sources raw milk from 2,000 smallholder farmers and cooperatives form surrounding communities, which it then processes into pasteurised milk and yoghurt. The company also expects to reach over 6,000 farmers over the next three years.
