OKO raises $500k seed extension round

OKO has raised USD 500,000 for its seed extension round from Katapult and angel investors, the proceeds of which it will use to enter Ivory Coast alongside partners Orange Allianz and Touton.

The insurtech, which focuses on agricultural products, is working towards a pre-series A round. It raised USD 1.2mn for its initial seed round in April 2021 from Newfund, ResiliAnce, Mercy Crops Venture, Techstars, Impact Assets and Rasa.

The company was founded in 2017 and has increased its paying customers 6x between 2020 to 2021.
