Nigerian digital identity solutions provider gets Alitheia IDF funding

Seamfix, a Nigerian identity solutions provider has received USD 4.5mn from Alitheia IDF to expand into five new markets (Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Ethiopia and Uganda), improve its infrastructure and facilitate the flow of data that underpins trade and integration across Africa.

In addition, the investment firm, which has a gender-lens mandate, will work with Seamfix to support its work of ensuring that women also have access to crucial identification services.  

The company was founded by Chimezie Emewulu and Chibuzor Onwurah and has so far worked with Veremark, Nigeria’s National Identity Management commission, telecos (MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9 Mobile) and financial institutions.
