MENA startup Manara raises $3mn led by Stripe

Manara, a MENA focused edtech startup that trains engineers has raised a USD 3mn pre-seed round led by Stripe to grow the number of people it supports from 60 to 6,000 a year and develop a self-service product for interview practice, networking and mentorship.

Other investors in the round are Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn founder), Paul Graham (founder of Y Combinator), Eric Ries (Lean Startup founder) and Mudassir Sheikha (CEO & founder of Careem).

The social impact platform was founded by Iliana Montauk and Laila Abudahi and is headquartered in San Francisco.
