IFC considers investment in Africa50 Infrastructure Acceleration Fund

The IFC is considering investing up to USD 20mn in equity in Africa50 Infrastructure Acceleration Fund I, a fund that plans to invest in value-add infrastructure assets in Africa.

Fund I aims to raise a total of USD 500mn and will focus on the following sectors; power and energy, water and sanitation, transport and logistics and digital & social infrastructure.

The fund was set up by Africa50 Infrastructure Investment Partners, which is registered in Mauritius and was created by Africa50 in 2021.
