Diamond Cement Guinea to construct greenfield plant

Diamond Cement Guinea (DCG), the Guinean business of West African Cement (WACEM) group plans to construct a greenfield integrated cement plant with a 0.75mn tonnes per annum capacity.

The total cost of the project is estimated at USD 106mn and the IFC is considering a USD 30mn investment to support the construction of a grinding plant in the Sougeuta region in the North East of Guinea.

Most of the company is owned by WACEM founders Prasad Motaparti (47.28%) and Mukesh Patel (47.28%).
