Cameroonian fintech Ejara has announced it has raised USD 8mn for its series A round led by Anthemis Group and Dragonfly Capital. Also supporting the round were Mercy Corps Ventures, Coinshares Ventures and Lateral Capital.

According to press reports other investors were Circle Ventures, Moonstake, Emurgo, Hashkey Group, BPI France and angel investors.

The startup which enables individuals to sell, buy, exchange and store their crypto investments raised a USD 2mn seed round in October last year. It was founded by Nelly Chatue-Diop and Baptiste Andrieux.

4Di Capital announces second close of $25mn fund

Venture capital firm 4Di Capital has announced the second close of its USD 25mn fund following an investment from Mauritian IBL Group, which invested through its investment vehicle IBL Link Investments and gives the VC firm a new presence in the country.

The firm did not disclose how much was secured from the Mauritian investor but completed its first close at USD 8mn and aims to reach its final close early next year.

Companies in its portfolio include Aerobotics, LifeQ, VALR and Wasoko.
