Powered by People has raised USD 8mn for its series A funding round and secured an additional USD 5.6mn in philanthropic grants.
The equity round was led by Altos Ventures with Golden Ventures and Susa Ventures also participating.
Grants were received from various philanthropic organisations, including TRANSFORM.
PBP plans to use the funds to scale its global operations and technology as the space in which it operates has withstood economic uncertainty.
Powered by People was founded in 2021 and works with more than 2,5000 brands and producers from over 70 countries. It providers retailers with products across the home, fashion, jewellery and apothecary categories and customers include West Elm, Pottery Barn, Banana Republic and The Citizenry.
The company completed a USD 5mn seed round last year. You can read more about that here.
